Millions of Californians are bracing for their power bills to go up for the fourth time this year. The California Public Utilities Commission approved PG&E’s latest rate hike yesterday, which will cost customers an average of six bucks a month. The company says the money is needed to cover expenses paid during a slew of winter storms that caused widespread outages. Rates have soared 54-percent since PG&E exited bankruptcy in 2020.
