About 60 percent of the campaign funding that has come either for or against Measure J is from outside of Sonoma County. That’s according to the Press Democrat’s recent analysis of about two-million-dollars in campaign contributions. Measure J passing would mean the end of concentrated animal feeding operations in Sonoma County. Those are also known as factory farms. The result of the vote in November could set a precedent for other efforts to limit the size of dairy and poultry farms across the country.
