The 417-acre Glenhaven Fire in Lake County is now 51 percent contained. The fire, which started just before noon Friday, has destroyed two homes and damaged another structure. It started just west of Clearlake Oaks and has been burning during a 90-plus-degree heatwave with low relative humidity. Evacuation orders have been lifted for three zones but evacuation warnings are still in place for three zones. There are no reports of injuries.
The fire began Friday shortly after 12 p.m. in the lakeside community of Glenhaven, quickly growing to 50 acres by 12:45 p.m. and to more than 400 acres by 5:30 p.m. The cause is still under investigation.
