A man has been arrested for carjacking a minivan in Santa Rosa. On Friday night, a man jumped in a minivan with a female driver stopped at the intersection of Santa Rosa Ave. and 3rd Street and told her to drive. The woman jumped out of the vehicle and the man, later identified as Ryan Humphreys, got in the driver’s seat and drove off. Eventually, the minivan went onto highway 101 going north but in the southbound lanes. Humphreys would stop on Highway 101 near the Hearn off ramp and run on foot but would be detained a short while later. After the arrest, officers learned that Humphreys side-swiped an uninvolved motorist on Santa Rosa Avenue.
