Sonoma County Students Get Mixed Results in State Tests

The latest state testing results are here. Overall, students in Sonoma County are behind the rest of the state in English but slightly ahead in math. The test results are from the annual California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress, which tests students in the third though eighth grades and in the eleventh grade. In English language arts, 44-point-three-percent of students in Sonoma County are meeting or exceeding state standards. Statewide, the rate is 47-percent. In math, students in Sonoma County are one percent above the statewide average, with 31-point-eight-percent of them meeting or exceeding state standards.
