California is offering voters “Where’s My Ballot?,” a service for tracking vote-by-mail ballots. If you’d like to check the status of your ballot, it’s super easy. Just head over to the Vote by Mail Status Tool on the state’s BallotTrax website and enter your last name, date of birth, house number, or zip code. According to Secretary of State Shirley Weber, ballots are collected from drop boxes every 96 hours up to the tenth day before the election, then every 72 hours at staffed boxes and every 48 hours at unstaffed boxes until Election Day. You can also sign up for BallotTrax to get updates about your ballot. You’ll receive notifications when it’s mailed, received, counted, or if there are any issues.
