California’s Attorney General Issues Bulletin on New Laws for Retail Crime

The state is getting tougher on retail crime.  Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a new bulletin to law enforcement agencies yesterday, explaining the ten new California laws starting in January.  He says they close loopholes that made it more difficult for police and prosecutors to bring perpetrators to justice.  The laws include smash and grabs, organized retail theft and vehicle theft.  They also renew task forces and diversion programs.
