Federal prosecutors are ending their three-year public corruption case involving former executives with Recology and San Francisco city officials. The North Bay Business Journal reports that a federal judge has dismissed a bribery charge and is allowing a deferred prosecution deal to go forward. That deal will see Recology pay a $36 million fine. In the case, Recology’s government affairs manager, Paul Giusti, was accused of making bribes with Mohammad Nuru, the former San Francisco Department of Public Works director, in exchange for business favors.
