Santa Rosa City Councilman Chris Rogers is showing solidarity for classified Santa Rosa City Schools district employees. On Wednesday, Rogers, who is running for state assembly, joined employees who were rallying outside of a school board meeting at Santa Rosa City Hall. About 40 classified employees took part in the rally, including janitors, teaching assistants, cafeteria staff and others. Mike Greer, Rogers’ opponent in the state assembly race, was also there in support of the school employees. The classified employees have held a march or rally each month since the start of the school year, demanding the district give them a pay raise. All other staff units have been given raises this school year.
