A man from Santa Rosa, accused of killing another man in a confrontation at Hotel Healdsburg, says he never meant to hurt him. Romario Cisneros testified in Sonoma County Superior Court on Wednesday, saying he was only trying to protect his colleagues when he killed Abel Garza in July of 2023. Cisneros is charged with assault with a deadly weapon. The trial is not about whether Cisneros killed Garza but about whether his actions were justified. Cisneros stabbed Garza to death. He faces up to seven years in prison if convicted as charged.
