Celebration of Fire Chief Doug Williams’ Life Scheduled for Tuesday at the LBC

A former fire chief in Sonoma County is being remembered. A celebration of life for Doug Williams, the former chief of the Rincon Valley Fire District and of the county’s Central Fire Authority, will be held tomorrow at 4 PM at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts. Williams passed away at the age of 68 on October 16th after a yearslong battle with lung cancer. Williams served as a fire chief for 18 years and was even named fire chief of the year by the California Fire Chiefs Association.
