A new care unit is coming to the Mary Isaak Shelter in Petaluma. The Press Democrat reports that starting on November 1st, the Lassay Health and Wellness Center in Petaluma will open and will offer those who are homeless a place to recover after being released from the hospital or the ER. They will be able to stay for up to 90 days and will be provided resources to help them find housing among other things. Six beds will be available but there is already a waiting list forming.
