A Sonoma County-based defense contractor will be shutting down by the end of the year. When it happens, 49 employees of L3 Harris Technology, Sonoma EO, will be laid off. The company says it will start closing its facility in Santa Rosa on December 12th and aims to have it fully closed before December 31st. None of the affected employees are unionized. This past April, L3 Harris announced it would be cutting five percent of its workforce to save costs.
