A couple from Sonoma Valley is facing seven misdemeanor animal cruelty charges. Gilman and Barbara Parsons, who were charged by the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office last week, have been ordered to appear in court on November 25th. Each count is for a different type of animal they are accused of hoarding, including dogs, horses, llamas, turkeys, ducks, chickens and sheep. Authorities removed dozens of dogs and livestock from the Parson’s property last year. Meanwhile, a civil trial is scheduled for November 19th. Then, a judge may rule whether Sonoma County officials will be granted full custody of the more than 160 animals that were seized.
