A Sonoma County jury has failed to reach a verdict in connection with a deadly confrontation at Hotel Healdsburg. Romario Cisneros was facing the charge of felony assault with a deadly weapon in the death of Abel Garza in July of 2023. Prosecutors say Garza attacked hotel staff before Cisneros stabbed him to death. Eleven jurors were in favor of a not guilty verdict. But, there was one holdout, leading to a hung jury. The jury, which started deliberating on Friday afternoon, was dismissed on Wednesday. The Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office could still refile charges against Cisneros.
