Longtime Santa Rosa City Councilman Chris Rogers is claiming victory in his race for state assembly. Rogers, a Democrat, is currently leading Republican Del Norte County school board member Michael Greer with 66 percent of the vote. Rogers appears on his way to representing Assembly District Two, which stretches from Santa Rosa to the Oregon border. Rogers claimed victory shortly after nine o’clock Tuesday night. He would take office in January.
