Sonoma County’s Measure I Passes Giving Money to Childcare

Supporters of Sonoma County’s Measure I are declaring victory. As of Wednesday night, Measure I has the backing of nearly 61 percent of voters. It needs a simple majority vote to pass. Measure I would authorize a quarter-cent sales tax to strengthen childcare resources and children’s healthcare in Sonoma County. This follows a more than two-year effort to get the measure on the local ballot.
