Cattlemens, the iconic steakhouse in Petaluma, is closing its doors on December 31st after 54 years of service. The restaurant, which has been a beloved part of the Petaluma community since 1970, is closing due to the sale of the property and new business development plans. The three-acre site has been sold to a Los Angeles developer who plans to demolish the existing structure and build a Chick-fil-A. The final reservation list is filling up quickly as patrons seek one last chance to dine at this historic location. Staff at the Petaluma location will be given the option to transfer to other Cattlemens restaurants. Tuesday night Cattlemens Petaluma will serve its last meal.
