Bohemian Creamery, a beloved Sebastopol cheese shop known for its unique goat, sheep, cow, and water buffalo cheeses, has closed its doors after 14 years.
The creamery announced its closure on December 20th, citing the end of their lease. Owner Webster Marquez, a former winemaker, has not publicly commented on the closure. Carmen Snyder, Executive Director of Sonoma County Farm Trails, praised Marquez and his team for their contributions to local agriculture and their commitment to community.
Bohemian Creamery was founded in 2008 and opened its Sebastopol storefront in 2010. Former employees and community members have expressed their sadness at the closure and fondly recalled the shop’s delicious cheeses and unique atmosphere.
