Calistoga will be conducting a DUI and license checkpoint this weekend.
The checkpoint will operate from 6 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday at an undisclosed location. Law enforcement will be checking for signs of alcohol or drug impairment and verifying driver’s licenses. Drivers caught with a first-time DUI face fines averaging $13,500 and license suspension.
The checkpoint is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
