The Sonoma County Department of Health Services announced it has received two grants to support early childhood programs.
One grant, totaling $128,000, comes from the California Office of Traffic Safety. This funding will bolster the department’s child safety seat education initiatives. The program aims to educate parents and caregivers on the proper use of child car seats to minimize the risk of injuries in accidents.
The Sonoma County Department of Health Services has also received a $1.27 million grant to support early childhood wraparound services.
This two-year grant from the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative will focus on providing comprehensive support for families with young children. The program aims to improve access to services and reduce health disparities for families in Sonoma County.
