More than 100,000 Under Evacuation Orders In Southern California

Dangerous winds are forecast to return to Southern California as deadly wildfires in the area continue to burn.

The death toll in the fires is up to 24 people with California Governor Gavin Newsom saying there are “likely to be a lot more.” The Palisades, Eaton and Hurst Fires have been burning for six days now. More than 100,000 people are under evacuation orders while another 87,000 are under evacuation warnings.

The Palisades Fire is just 13% contained, the Eaton Fire 27% and the Hurst Fire 89%.
