Local Saturday Morning Breakfast Program’s Sustainability In Question

For two decades, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Santa Rosa has provided a Saturday morning breakfast program for people experiencing homelessness.

The program serves hot meals, coffee, and fruit to those in need, with volunteers preparing and serving the food. However, rising costs and decreased donations due to recent wildfires and the pandemic are threatening the program’s sustainability. The program relies heavily on community support and donations to continue serving those in need.

Despite these challenges, the program continues to provide a vital service to the community, offering not only food but also a sense of community and support.
