A section of Sebastopol Road that had become an unsanctioned RV parking area is now largely cleared, with most residents having moved on.
This follows the enforcement of city ordinances banning daytime RV parking in commercial areas and prohibiting vehicles from being parked on streets for more than 72 hours. While some vehicles remain, the police chief praised the cooperation of most residents in relocating.
The clearance comes after the closure of a sanctioned RV parking area, Horizon Shine Village, which was intended to provide temporary housing for residents. Construction on a permanent supportive housing facility on the site is expected to begin soon.
