A 29-year-old man has been charged with attempting to steal an airplane from the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport in October.
Augustin Ortiz faces charges of taking an airplane without consent and trespassing. The incident occurred in October when Ortiz attempted to start a plane while it was undergoing maintenance.
He was interrupted by a mechanic and fled the scene. Ortiz is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
