The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors is looking to buy office space near the county airport for a combined 114-million-dollars.
The three buildings are just about five miles from Sonoma County government’s main campus in Santa Rosa. It would be the most county funds spent on office space in years. But, members of the county’s largest employee union are critical of the price tag, saying the county might actually be paying more than the buildings’ appraised value.
One of the buildings is the former American AgCredit headquarters, which Sonoma County has leased since last year.
