Santa Rosa Police have arrested a juvenile in connection with a firearms incident at a local gas station.
Wednesday afternoon, officers responded to the Shell station on Corby Avenue after a report of a subject brandishing a gun. Video evidence confirmed the suspect approached a victim, pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun with a clear, extended magazine, and pointed it at the victim’s face.
Thanks to a quick investigation, police identified the juvenile suspect and, with help from the Special Enforcement Team and Gang Crimes Team, located him in a vehicle on Gio Drive. A loaded Glock 29, 9mm handgun with the described clear, extended magazine was found in the vehicle. The juvenile was arrested on felony charges including assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a loaded handgun, and possession of a concealed firearm.
Because the suspect is a minor, their name is being withheld.
