Sonoma County Supervisor David Rabbitt says an issue surrounding his reporting of campaign finances has been resolved.

Rabbitt, speaking with the Press Democrat on Monday, called the violations “minor in nature.” Last week, the newspaper reported Rabbitt was the subject of an investigation launched by California’s Fair Political Practices Commission, regarding his campaign finance reporting last year. He cites a missed filing deadline and reporting errors.

That includes failing to properly designate contributions he received and failing to total the contributions, which led to a failure to capture a donation that exceeded contribution limits. Rabbitt says it was all administrative in nature and was not an ethics violation.
