CHP Rescues Pig From Highway 116

A Sebastopol highway got a little wild this week when a pig was spotted strolling down the middle of Highway 116.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the unusual call early Monday morning, finding the friendly pig near Cooper Road. Dashcam video shows officers even gave the sow some affectionate scratches before Sonoma County Animal Services took custody. The pig is currently being held at the animal shelter while officials try to locate its owner.

Anyone with information about the pig is asked to contact Sonoma County Animal Services.
