The Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office is warning residents about an email scam targeting Costco shoppers.
People have been recently receiving emails falsely promoting a deal from Costco. The email offers people an opportunity to receive a free ice cream maker if they complete a survey.
The D.A.’s Office says the email, which includes the Costco logo, is actually a phishing scam attempting to get people’s financial information or infect their computers.
