The Sonoma Valley Unified School District board is meeting this Thursday to consider significant budget cuts.
Proposals on the agenda include eliminating 33 classified positions, some as early as July 2025. The board will also discuss changes to meeting procedures, including a 9 p.m. meeting end time and a 30-minute limit on public comment, unless extended. Finally, the board will review comprehensive school safety plans.
The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. at the district offices on Railroad Avenue in Sonoma.
