Suspect In Attempted Santa Rosa Kidnapping Remains In Jail

The suspect in an attempted kidnapping in Santa Rosa remains behind bars.

Fifty-three-year-old James Boyden, a homeless man, is being held on 151-thousand-dollars bail. He was arrested last Saturday, on suspicion of attempted kidnapping, disorderly conduct and violating his probation.

Boyden allegedly approached a woman’s car while waving a broken wine bottle, yelled at her to get out of the car and threatened her. Authorities say he tried to open the driver’s side door, but it was locked, and the woman was able to drive away.

Boyden is due in court on March 27th.
