The FBI is expanding its investigation into DEMA Consulting and Management founder and former CEO Michelle Patino.
FBI agents searched through a home linked with Patino in Santa Rosa on Thursday morning. About a dozen unmarked vehicles surrounded the home. Several boxes of evidence were removed from the property during the course of about three hours. The company, which shut down last May, provided homeless services for Sonoma County and once controlled millions of dollars in no-bid homeless housing contracts.
Patino is the subject of a federal investigation into DEMA’s contracts with Sonoma County and Harris County, Texas.
