Healdsburg police and a member of the Healdsburg police Community Oriented and Equity team ― which handles neighbor dispute calls and welfare checks― responded to a call about a child who was left alone when they are dropped off at home after school.
Police searched the area around the home and found several ounces of suspected methamphetamines, marijuana, cash and a scale- all within reach of the child.
The mother, Carina Gonzales Rivas, 33, was detained after finally returning home and was arrested on drug and child neglect charges.
UPDATE: As Rivas was being booked into the Sonoma County jail officials found more items hidden in her bra.
