Napa County Looking At $9.5 Million In Road Repairs Following Recent Storms

Napa County is facing significant road damage from recent storms, despite experiencing slightly less rainfall than neighboring Sonoma County. Officials are proposing a $9.5 million emergency repair plan.

The Napa County Board of Supervisors will vote Tuesday on the funding, which aims to quickly address damage to roads like Redwood Road, Rossi Road Bridge, and Mt. Veeder Road. The storms triggered flooding, road closures, and strained infrastructure, leading to the need for urgent repairs.

While Sonoma County, which saw more rain, reported $8.8 million in damage, their emergency response has taken a broader approach, including housing protections. Napa’s plan primarily focuses on road infrastructure. Both counties are seeking state and federal reimbursement.
