SVUSD To Cut 33 Full-Time Jobs

The Sonoma Valley Unified School District is cutting 33 full-time jobs.

The district’s board of trustees has voted in favor of eliminating the equivalent of 19 classified and 14 certified positions. Dropping the classified jobs is expected to save the district $1.4 million dollars. Dropping the certified jobs is expected to save the district more than $1.7 million dollars.

The district is trying to address its financial issues. The jobs are expected to be eliminated by the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
