Members of Santa Rosa High School’s ArtQuest theater program are taking home 13 awards.
They were honored at the recent Lenaea High School Theatre Festival, a prestigious statewide event. The theater group won the top “Spirit of Lenaea” award for their original play, called “Redacted.” The satirical take on censorship was created by 20 ArtQuest theater students.
School and school district leaders shut down one of their plays back in November, citing controversial content. The administrators then reversed their decision.
