Former Sonoma County Health Services Director Given Severance Amid Resignation

The resignation of former Sonoma County Health Services director Tina Rivera did not come free to the county. Records show Rivera was paid a $165,000 severance upon resigning last summer.

The terms also include a non-disparagement clause and a general agreement not to sue the county. Rivera was in charge of Sonoma County’s health department for more than three years.

At the time, she said she resigned to spend more time with family.
