A pedestrian and a driver were hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision in Santa Rosa Friday night.
The crash occurred on Highway 12 near Middle Rincon Road, when a westbound Chevrolet Spark collided with an eastbound sedan making a left turn. The impact caused the Spark to spin and hit a pedestrian walking on the sidewalk.
The pedestrian sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital. The Spark’s driver was also hospitalized as a precaution. Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors, but are investigating whether speed or a traffic violation contributed to the crash.
