The Santa Rosa community continues to reel from the deaths of two high school students in suspected fentanyl overdoses.
Police say 16-year-old Santa Rosa High School student Gia Walsh and 18-year-old Montgomery High School student Logan Camp died over the weekend. Makeshift memorials went up at the entrances of both schools yesterday with flowers, signs and messages of grief and love.
Authorities say Walsh and Camp were found together at Walsh’s grandmother’s house, with both suspected to have died from fentanyl poisoning. Police believe the teens thought they were purchasing cocaine.
Police have arrested 21-year-old dealer Ramon Nunez on several charges connected to the overdoses, including second-degree homicide.
