Tonight, the Santa Rosa City Schools Board of Trustees is expected to decide the fate of more than 150 employees.
Trustees will vote on whether to issue layoff notices to certified and classified employees and administrators. Employees expected to be impacted the most include family engagement facilitators, restorative response specialists, elementary classroom teachers and secondary counselors.
This comes after the board voted in favor of closing several schools last week. The district is still trying to reduce its budget deficit.
