What was a countywide eviction moratorium now only applies to communities along the Lower Russian River.
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors unanimously passed the updated eviction ban on Tuesday. The first version of the moratorium was issued two weeks ago, after the major atmospheric river rainstorm that damaged homes and led to widespread flooding. The new eviction moratorium will remain in place through August 25th, or until the board lifts the emergency proclamation.
It covers unincorporated areas of Forestville, Guerneville, Rio Nido, Monte Rio, Villa Grande and Duncans Mills.
