The average price of a gallon of regular gas in Sonoma County is close to going back below the five-dollar mark.
Today it is $5.05, down one cent from Monday. A week ago, it was $5.18. Gas prices appear to be leveling out after spiking in most of California and other western states last month. A month ago, the average gas price in Sonoma County was $4.68.
The current statewide average is $4.77 per gallon.
