A bicyclist is dead after being hit by an SUV on a busy road in east Petaluma.
The bicyclist was hit at about 3:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, on Ely Boulevard South near Capistrano Way. The person, who died at the scene, has not yet been identified.
The collision happened near Casa Grande High School, however police confirm the person was not a student.
