Santa Rosa police are announcing the discovery of a home-based gun and drug lab. Detectives searched a home on Tuesday.
They were initially investigating the theft of a work trailer at a job site last weekend. Police say ammunition, short-barreled rifles, assault weapons, handguns and at least 17 guns in various stages of assembly were inside the home. Detectives also discovered equipment and materials used to make the powerful hallucinogen commonly known as DMT.
A resident of the home, Tim Berman, was arrested and faces several charges.
