New California Laws Take Effect Today

Several new California laws go into effect today.

One is designed to help people more easily cancel subscriptions, while another is expected to help crack down on the online sale of stolen goods, and a third will require short-term rental lodging sites like Airbnb to disclose additional fees.

Additionally, schools serving grades seven through 12 will be required to print the number of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, and, occupational safety and health protections will be extended to many household domestic service workers.
