The City of Sonoma has renewed its law enforcement agreement with the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, extending their partnership through 2030.
The Press Democrat reports the City Council unanimously approved the extension on July 16th. While the contract’s cost is set to rise, the new agreement includes a significant change: removing the 50/50 cost-sharing for the Youth and Family Services Program, saving the city an estimated $50,000 to $70,000 annually.
