A second Sonoma County farm executive is suing an animal rights group.
Scott Fitzpatrick of Petaluma Poultry is suing animal welfare group Direct Action Everywhere. He’s asking for a temporary restraining order to keep people from protesting outside of his home in Sebastopol. Fitzpatrick says he and his family have endured ongoing harassment at the hands of animal rights “extremists.” Fitzpatrick is the live production manager for Petaluma Poultry.
Direct Action Everywhere says it will be assembling at Fitzpatrick’s home on Saturday afternoon anyway.
In April, a similar lawsuit was filed by Santa Rosa resident Jason Arnold, the company’s director of operations.
