A death investigation is underway after a man’s body was pulled from the Russian River near Forestville.
The body was found late Sunday morning, near the Hacienda Bridge. Investigators believe this may be the body of a man who drowned in the river late Saturday afternoon. He jumped into the water using a rope swing and never resurfaced.
Family members say the man was celebrating his 35th birthday.
