Authorities have identified the woman killed inside a Santa Rosa home Tuesday.
Police say 47-year-old Mollie Schefer was found shot twice in the chest on the staircase of her Cecilia Drive residence. Two dogs were also shot, one fatally. Officers responded around 4:30 a.m. to reports of gunshots and discovered a shattered rear sliding glass door and open gate.
The suspect and firearm remain at large.
